Hi, have a question here... I have designed a staircase Pressurization system to keep the 50Pa pressure Difference...i have considered VFD System Differential pressure system within the staircase at lower and higher levels...Do i need to consider the Relief Damper? if yes, can i delete the VFD and run constant speed Fan?..which is more reliable? Pls suggest
Hi, if lower budget usually is constant speed fan with relief damper. Otherwise is VFD fan with DPS control. VFD systems typically have better control. Thanks.
If reliability is more important I would go with a simple system. Engineering principle is: fewer parts = more stability. No sensors no VFD less things that can break or fail. Just a constant-speed fan and properly sized relief damper (set not to exceed 60 Pa).
